Christmas 2010

Christmas this year seemed to come far too fast.  It seems that I am never prepared for it anymore.  Eventually I would love to be able to not have a job and stay home, and I am hoping that when that time comes I can enjoy it more.  It was a good Christmas though, we enjoyed all of the family this year.  On Christmas Eve we have dinner with Joe's family at our house.  We had dinner with my family at Amber's house the night before, but I forgot my camera :(  Then on Christmas Day we were able to stay home and just relax and enjoy the day.  It was really nice.  Here are some pictures from our Christmas this year.

This was so funny.  JD got ben this reindeer, and when you push the button it sings "don't worry, be happy"

Okay, there is a funny story behind this next set of pictures.  Last year, we were talking with Ben and Amanda about Christmas gifts, and ben said that someone had gotten him the same vest two years in a row--the exact same vest.  Then he was talking about how everyone gets him underwear.  And to watch, the next year he would probably get wool underwear.  And jokingly he said that all he wanted for Christmas was a big jar of pickles.  So Joe and I were being funny, and we bought him the biggest jar of pickles we could find, and ordered some wool fabric off of the internet, and made him this red wool vest.  It was pretty funny when he opened it.  (totally was an inside joke)  well this year, Joe opened a gift from them, and inside it was a jar of pickle relish, and the same vest, but altered with some super awesome huge flower buttons and joe's name on it instead of ben's.  It was awesome, and really funny, so now it is on...we have to come up with something to outdo this next year! :)

For some reason all of these pictures are showing up backwards in order from Christmas day...but I don't care enough to change them, so we will go in reverse order.  Aubrey was so tired on Christmas day, she fell asleep in the middle of the floor.

Presents! This year the girls were asking for Monster High dolls, ds games, books, Aubrey wanted a glow dome, Lindsay wanted a Marble Race Deluxe, and they both wanted little build a bear kits that you can make.  They were pretty happy with what we got them, and what Santa brought.

Aubrey is so cute!  She wanted this little toy camouflage rifle.  Lindsay bought it for her.  She loves it!  She goes around the house pretending things are coyotes and she is shooting them.

This was Lindsay's gift from Aubrey.

Daddy was way too tired on Christmas morning!
