Working with cows!
Thanks to our friends Brian and Sara Hooten, joe and Aubrey got to go up to bob and dee sadliers ranch this past fall and they got to help them preg check the cows. Aubrey got to ride a horse all day long and she was soooo excited!! It was the best day of her life! She was so cute. She didn't get off that horse except to go to the bathroom and get a drink. She was right back up on it the moment she was done. Also when they rode back to the house, she was running and was ahead of the group. There were two horses up by the gate that were not saddled or tied up or anything. They saw her coming and took off for her. Ryan sadlier, Bob and Dee's son, saw them take off and knew that it would be trouble for Aubrey. Both he and I took off running. I knew that they would get Aubrey's horse all wound up. Aubrey had taken a few horse riding lessons from a friend of mine, and for that I am so grateful! She taught Aubrey to ride without any reins or hanging on. She taught her to run while balancing her body in the saddle before she would give her the reins and let her have control. I am so glad she learned this, because when those horses got to Aubrey's horse, her horse took off running with them. I was on foot and was just yelling at her to pull back on the reins. She couldn't, she had a death grip with both hands on the saddle horn. At that point I was just praying she'd stay on until the other riders caught up to her and helped her. I was yelling for her to just hang on, and quite honestly I thought i would be picking her up wherever she landed when she fell off. Her horse saw Brian and joes horses and turned and ran toward them. They thought Aubrey would be in tears when they caught her. She was laughing. Laughing and having the time of her life. We were all amazed and pretty proud of her that day. She was tough and held on and rode it out. Here are a few pictures I took of them on the horses.
